BOTTLE CLEANING

WITH VITROGLANZ®

Depending on the problem at hand and the operating conditions, the product series VITROGLANZ® is used for lye for cleaning glass and REFPET-bottles. When preparing the new caustic zone, 0.1 to 0.3%per m_ of lye, depending on the load, are added by hand or using a dosing pump. The addition to the newly prepared solution may be coupled with the caustic pump at any time.

Before changing to a VITROGLANZ® product it is advisable to clean the cleaning machine to dissolve any residue of hardness precipitations and previous products. Residue from the previous products may have a negative impact when using the new product.

Contrary to the usual dosing instructions, VITROGLANZ® is added regardless of whether the concentration of the lye is raised. The additive is continuously added to lye 1 during operation of the bottle cleaning facility only.

This way, optimal operation that cuts consumption can be achieved.

VITROGLANZ® significantly improves the draining behaviour and consequently leads to a reduction of caustic residue in the bottle. This entails a reduction of the displacement residue in the downstream rinsing zones. Furthermore, the formation of drops on the washed glass and REFPET bottles is significantly reduced.

In order to prevent the typical hardness precipitations in major industrial washing machines, products from the VITROSTAB® series can be used. The special formulas prevent deposits and facilitate smooth plant operation.
