BOILER WATER TREATMENT
WITH DEMKOR®
Depending on the operating conditions and the problem to be solved, the product series DEMKOR® 30 to DEMKOR® 91 is used in the areas steam boilers (up to 68 bar), warm and hot water systems, and district heating systems, to bind oxygen, prevent corrosion, stabilise hardness, and exploit savings potentials.
It is based on an especially selected tannin-lignin compound that is neither vapour volatile nor accumulates salt. By building up a ferric tannate film that has no adverse effect on the heat transfer, an extremely effective protection against corrosion is created. At the same time, stabilising the residue hardness prevents the dreaded formation of scale, even in the event of increased salinity.
The composition of this product series is physiologically and toxically safe (expert report available) and listed as substitute for hydrazine in the current TRGS 608. Wastewater may be discharged into the sewerage system if the required threshold pH values are observed.
The products are based on renewable raw materials, are biodegradable, are VdTÜV approved, and are physiologically and toxically safe. They are ideally suited for being used in
- steam boilers and steam generators up to 68 bar,
- district heating,
- hospitals,
- food and beverage industry,
- and to heat up process water using heat exchangers.
